Deborah H. How, PhD, MBA
Chief Executive Officer
Deborah H. How (piano, flute)
received her BA (music and theater) from Swarthmore College, MA from the UCLA School of Music, PhD from the USC Thornton School of Music, and MBA from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst.
Dr. How is widely known as a connection builder and fundraising architect for nonprofit music organizations. She is a frequent presenter on both studio management and pedagogy topics and is a member of the MTNA Business Resource Network. She maintains an active studio with national competition winners in piano and flute.
She is also a website developer and skip-logic form expert. Dr. How is the owner of the Westside Music Conservatory in Los Angeles (Brentwood).
Nancy Woo, MM
Chief Operations Officer
Nancy Woo (piano)
earned a BM, MM, and is a DMA candidate in piano performance at the USC Thornton School of Music, where her elective fields are music theory, pedagody, and music history.
Ms. Woo is in demand as a speaker and webinar presenter on various topics. As a former Certified Teacher in the Yamaha Music Education System and an independent piano instructor, Ms. Woo has over 30 years of experience working with students of all ages and levels.
She is a versatile composer and improvisor, and she is also a music technology consultant and audio production enthusiast.
Ms. Woo is the owner of the Southwest Conservatory of Music in Fountain Valley, CA.
Raj Baskar
Chief Technology Officer
Raj Baskar (guitar)
graduated from the Hindustan University College of Engineering, where he studied Electronics and Communications Engineering. He brings more than 20 years of technology and serial entrepreneur experience and is responsible for driving Musical Etudes’ product vision and technology strategy.
Mr. Baskar is also the founder and CEO of EvenSteps, a software-as-a-service platform for coaching centers offering after-school activities.
He also previously co-founded and served as CTO of VOConline, a successful beta testing platform that collected, managed, and acted
on customer feedback generated in the product development process.
